Accountability

Corrections

Accuracy matters. When a substantive error is confirmed, the newsroom should correct it clearly and preserve an understandable record of what changed.

Our corrections approach

If a published story contains a material factual error, the correction should state what was wrong and what the accurate information is. Updated context may be noted separately when the original reporting was accurate at publication time.

Recent public corrections

A public record of corrections published by the newsroom.
