Belarus has expressed readiness to expand economic cooperation with Afghanistan, including direct arrangements for petroleum imports and transport. Ariana News reported that Afghanistan’s deputy industry and commerce minister met Belarusian trade officials and representatives from the oil and investment sectors.

The discussions covered higher bilateral trade, increased Afghan exports, petroleum imports from Belarus, investment opportunities and cooperation in industry and energy. Both sides also emphasized stronger links between private companies.

No specific petroleum supply contract, volume, price or final investment package was announced. The latest development reflects official interest and negotiations, with any commercial transactions still requiring agreements between companies and relevant authorities.
