Reuters reported a Financial Times account that Amazon is working on a plan to transfer about $8 billion of Nvidia Grace Blackwell AI chips to an investor-backed special-purpose vehicle and lease the equipment back.
The chips are reportedly installed across more than a dozen US data centres. Amazon and Nvidia had not immediately commented, so the proposal is not being treated as a completed transaction.
