Afghanistan's Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has inaugurated construction of two industrial parks in Kunduz and Baghlan, covering a combined 11,679 jeribs of land.

TOLOnews reported that the Abdul Rahman bin Samura Industrial Park will cover 10,000 jeribs in Dasht-e-Abdan, Kunduz, while the Qutayba bin Saeed Baghlani Industrial Park will occupy 1,679 jeribs in Baghlan.

Officials say the sites are planned to accommodate industries including textiles, pharmaceuticals, food processing, construction materials, iron and steel. Ariana News separately confirmed the launch of the Baghlan project.

Projected employment and investment benefits are official expectations; actual outcomes will depend on construction progress and private-sector uptake.
