Seven killed in four traffic accidents in Nangarhar

Nangarhar police say seven people, including women and children, were killed and one person was injured in four separate road accidents.

At least seven people were killed and one person was injured in four separate traffic accidents in eastern Nangarhar province, according to police. The incidents occurred in Jalalabad city and in Batikot and Kot districts. Police said four women from one family were killed when a vehicle struck a tree in Batikot, while the driver was seriously injured. A child was killed by a vehicle in Kot district, another child died after being hit by a truck in Jalalabad, and one person was killed in a separate accident in the Sabzabad area. Police cited reckless driving and failure to observe traffic rules among the causes.
