Pakistan’s short-term inflation, measured by the Sensitive Price Index, rose 10.64% year-on-year in the week ending September 17, according to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics data.
The SPI increased 0.49% from the previous week. Official data showed sharp weekly increases in diesel, petrol and LPG prices, adding to pressure on household costs.
The latest reading comes as Pakistan faces higher energy costs linked to disruptions in regional fuel and shipping markets.
