US-based drone company Powerus has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Pakistan Army that includes an initial order related to unmanned aerial systems, a company co-founder told Reuters.
The value and technical specifications were not disclosed. Pakistan's military separately said a Powerus delegation met senior army leadership to discuss defence procurement, production and long-term capacity building, though its public statement did not detail the order reported by Reuters.
Powerus produces aerial and maritime drone systems for military and industrial use. Company representatives said they are also exploring potential technology collaboration and local production opportunities in Pakistan.
