Two 132kV electricity transmission towers carrying power from the Sibi Grid Station toward Dhadar in Balochistan’s Kachhi district were destroyed in an explosion, with electricity supply to Dhadar and nearby areas reported to have been disrupted.

A local report said the incident took place within the jurisdiction of Dhadar’s Saddar Police Station. It said unidentified armed men used explosives against the two towers, damaging the transmission line and affecting electricity supply in the surrounding area.

The United Baloch Army (UBA) later claimed responsibility in a statement, saying the operation was carried out at around 8pm the previous evening. Margalla News has not independently verified the group’s claim of responsibility.

A separate local news report independently confirmed that two 132kV towers connected to the Sibi Grid Station had been blown up and that power supply to Dhadar and surrounding areas was affected, but it did not identify the attackers.

Police and security personnel were reported to have cordoned off the site and begun an investigation. There was no immediate official announcement on when electricity supply would be fully restored.
