Uzbek president calls for sustained dialogue with Afghanistan on water resources

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev called for a permanent and substantive dialogue with Afghanistan over the use of shared water resources.

Speaking at a regional summit, he urged cooperation that accounts for the interests of all neighbouring states. No new binding water-sharing agreement was announced in that statement.
