Malaysia presented a 459.8 billion ringgit budget for 2027, including proposed tax relief and an increase in the minimum wage.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the minimum wage would rise to 2,000 ringgit from June 2027, as the government sought to ease household pressures.
