Lahore — The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) says it has reached agreements with international artificial intelligence organisations to help identify and investigate online crimes against children. The objective is to improve the examination of digital evidence and timely detection of suspicious online activity.

According to an October 10 report in The Express Tribune, NCCIA Lahore Additional Director Atif Amir said AI had helped identify a suspect in Gujranwala in one case. The agency also described further arrests and digital investigations related to various online crimes.

These are the agency's claims and its proposed technology cooperation. The protection of children's personal information, risks of mistaken identification and human and judicial scrutiny of digital findings must remain essential at every stage.
