West Indies beat India by 24 runs in the fourth T20 international in Hyderabad on Wednesday to level the five-match series 2-2. The decider will be played in Bengaluru on Saturday, 17 October.

Sent in to bat, West Indies made 247 for 3. Captain Shai Hope hit an unbeaten 102 off 50 balls with nine sixes and four fours, reaching his hundred with a six off the final ball. Sherfane Rutherford added 49 not out off 26 balls in an unbroken stand of 91 from 43 deliveries.

According to the Associated Press, it was Hope's third T20I century, the most by a West Indies batter, and his fourth hundred of the tour across ODIs and T20Is. The total was the second-highest first-innings score in a T20I against India.

Sanju Samson gave India a fast start with 56 off 23 balls, but Keemo Paul removed him and Ishan Kishan in the fifth over. Tilak Varma (43) and Nitish Reddy (41) added 70 for the sixth wicket, but India were bowled out for 223 in 19.3 overs.

Paul finished with 5 for 41, taking three wickets in the 19th over, for his second five-wicket haul in T20 internationals.
