US stock futures rebounded overnight after Wall Street closed out its worst week since June on a rout in AI and chip stocks.

On Friday, the S&P 500 fell 1.1 percent to 7,659.44 and the Nasdaq fell 2.1 percent to 26,140.03. For the week, the S&P 500 fell about 1.95 percent and the Nasdaq about 4.48 percent. Chipmakers recorded their longest losing streak since 2008. CoreWeave fell about 12 percent on Friday and about 25 percent for the week.

Overnight, S&P 500 futures rose about 0.5 percent and Nasdaq futures about 0.8 to 0.9 percent, with figures moving during trading. Asian markets were softer: Japan's Nikkei fell about 2 percent and South Korea's Kospi fell more than 1 percent, with reported figures varying by source and time.

More than 70 S&P 500 companies are due to report earnings this week, including Tesla and Meta. The 10-year US Treasury yield eased about 3 basis points to 5.0645 percent, after its largest weekly fall in more than eight months, as haven flows followed unrest in Europe.
