Aurangzeb Majid, the younger brother of Balochistan Assembly member Mina Majid, has been taken away by unidentified gunmen in Kech district, according to sources. The incident took place in the Mand area, and there has been no word on his whereabouts since.
Citing local reports, sources said four armed men on two motorcycles took Aurangzeb Majid at gunpoint from Baloch Abad village. Nothing is known yet about the identity or motive of the kidnappers, and no group has claimed responsibility.
Police did not immediately issue an official statement, and it is not clear whether anyone has contacted the family.
In a separate incident, local sources said Baloch insurgents seized ration supplies reportedly meant for security forces during a blockade in the Taariz area of Nushki district. There has been no response to the claim from security officials.
Neither incident has been independently verified. Kech, Nushki and several other Balochistan districts have seen frequent reports of abductions and attacks in recent weeks.
