Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed the need for sustained training, indigenous capability development and operational preparedness to tackle evolving security threats during a visit to Special Services Group headquarters in Tarbela.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, he was briefed on specialised training, operational preparedness and mission-oriented readiness. He laid wreaths at the martyrs' monument and watched a display of specialised equipment and a demonstration of SSG combat proficiency.
In talks with officers and troops, Munir praised their professionalism, high morale and devotion to duty. He said uncompromising focus on training and indigenous capability is essential to keep an edge over emerging challenges. Last month he visited Corps Headquarters in Peshawar for briefings on the security situation and border management in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
