India beat Afghanistan by 127 runs in the third Twenty20 International in Delhi to complete a 3-0 series sweep, with opener Abhishek Sharma producing a record-setting 30-ball century.

Sharma made 108 from 34 balls, hitting nine fours and 11 sixes. His hundred, reached in 30 deliveries, was reported as the fastest T20I century by a batter from a full-member nation and also surpassed India’s previous record of a 35-ball century by Rohit Sharma against Sri Lanka in 2017.

Sanju Samson added 50 from 35 balls as India posted 221 for seven.

Afghanistan’s chase came under pressure early and the visitors were bowled out for 94 in 14.1 overs. Captain Ibrahim Zadran top-scored for Afghanistan with 25.

Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravi Bishnoi took three wickets each for India as the hosts completed wins in all three matches of the series.
