Pakistan cuts petrol by Rs1.70 and high-speed diesel by Rs3.12 per litre

Pakistan has reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel with effect from September 23, 2026. According to a Petroleum Division notification, petrol has been cut by Rs1.70 per litre to Rs392.05, while high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs3.12 per litre to Rs418.96. The previous prices were Rs393.75 for petrol and Rs422.08 for high-speed diesel. The official notification said the revision reflected changes in international market benchmarks, premiums and other pricing factors. The new rates will remain in force until the next scheduled review. Fuel prices affect transport, freight and household costs across the country, although the extent to which the reduction is reflected in fares and retail prices will depend on local market conditions and operating costs.
