Afghan social-media sources are reporting fresh movement of Taliban forces from the greater Kandahar region toward Spin Boldak near the Pakistan border, as cross-border tensions remain high.
War Monitor said footage circulating online is being presented as showing an organised deployment toward the border area. The outlet said some accompanying accounts used threatening and inflammatory language toward Pakistan, which it excluded from its factual reporting.
There has been no official confirmation from the Afghan government, the defence ministry or Kandahar provincial authorities about the reported movement. The number of personnel involved, the purpose of any deployment and its final destination remain unclear.
The report should therefore be treated as an unverified developing claim rather than evidence of an imminent military operation. Independent confirmation is still pending.
