Pakistan leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed has risen to the top of the ICC men’s T20I bowling rankings.
The latest rankings place Abrar first with 736 rating points, narrowly ahead of Afghanistan star Rashid Khan on 735. Australia’s Adam Zampa is third with 700 points.
Abrar’s rise caps a strong run of T20I performances and places him among the Pakistani bowlers to have reached the top of the format’s bowling rankings. Mohammad Nawaz remains inside the top ten for Pakistan.
The gap between Abrar and Rashid is only one rating point, meaning future international performances could quickly change the order. ICC rankings are cumulative ratings based on recent international performances rather than the result of a single match.
