A delegation from Afghanistan's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has left for Moscow to take part in the second Global Digital Forum. According to Pajhwok, the delegation is led by Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration Hafiz Mohammad Amin Jan Omari.

Ministry spokesperson Enayatullah Alokozai said Abdul Rahman Safi, director general of digital governance, was also among the delegates. Representatives of governments, international organisations, technology experts and private businesses were expected to participate.

Key topics at the forum include developments in digital technology, online public services, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure and technical cooperation between countries. The Afghan delegation planned to present information about telecommunications and digital transformation projects at home.

The ministry also expects meetings with representatives from other countries and technology organisations during the forum. No specific agreement, financial investment or joint project has been finally approved or announced. The trip should be understood as an effort to explore cooperation.
