Gilgit — Margalla News: The Diamer-Bhasha Dam project has reached a major construction milestone with the formal start of pozzolan extraction and transport from Gini in Diamer.
Dawn reported that the material will be processed for use in roller-compacted concrete (RCC), after which RCC placement for the main dam is expected to begin.
The local pozzolan supply is considered an important input for the project's main civil works.
