Islamabad — Pakistan’s Federal Board of Revenue has established a National Faceless Centre for tax audits and assessments.
Dawn reports the model uses computerized risk selection, electronic IRIS workflows and separate audit, assessment and quality-review functions. The stated aim is to reduce discretionary handling and direct contact with taxpayers.
