Gilgit — A €54.24 million, roughly Rs17.2 billion, rural development and climate-resilience project has been launched for Gilgit-Baltistan.
Dawn reports the programme targets 43,200 households, or about 325,600 people. Components include 216 water and sanitation schemes, 1,200–1,300kW of small hydropower, about 3,000 green housing retrofits and 700 resilient homes, with AFD, the EU, AKF and the GB government involved.
