Ghazni — Margalla News: Construction has begun on a new building for Saadat Cooperative Hospital in Afghanistan's Ghazni province during a special ceremony.
The opening ceremony was attended by hospital officials as well as religious scholars, tribal elders, healthcare workers and a number of local residents.
Speakers highlighted the need to expand healthcare services in Ghazni, provide people with quality medical care and strengthen the province's health infrastructure.
Participants were also shown the design of the hospital's planned new building. According to officials, the project includes the construction of a multi-storey and well-equipped facility.
Hospital officials say the project is intended to widen access to healthcare for Ghazni residents and provide patients with better facilities for quality medical treatment.
Representatives of the hospital's leadership council, including Haji Mohammad Iqbal Sarwari, Dr Abdul Wakil Ishrati and local representative Haji Shahabullah, also spoke at the ceremony.
Officials added that the hospital project is expected not only to expand healthcare services but also to create new employment and professional opportunities.
