Pakistan's federal government reduced the petrol price by Rs2.71 per litre and the high-speed diesel price by three paisa per litre for October 14, 2026. The Petroleum Division's notification, reported a day earlier, set out the revised rates taking effect on Wednesday.
Following the revision, petrol was priced at Rs392.66 a litre and high-speed diesel at Rs396.82 a litre. These were the notified rates for October 14, rather than fixed prices for a longer period, because the government was reviewing petroleum prices daily.
Changes in the international oil market and the pricing review mechanism affect domestic fuel rates. The impact on transport operators and consumers will depend on subsequent revisions and other operating costs.
