Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told Israeli President Isaac Herzog that Israel should stop and reverse the "forced establishment" of settlements in the West Bank.
Wang met Herzog in Baku, on the sidelines of the CICA summit.
Wang called the two-state solution the right path and described full access to Gaza as an urgent priority, according to a Chinese foreign ministry statement reported by Reuters.
The meeting highlights China's diplomatic role in the Middle East.
