ISLAMABAD: According to Radio Pakistan and the Foreign Office, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Egypt's Foreign Minister Dr Badr Abdelatty.
The two leaders exchanged views on recent regional developments and strongly condemned the Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia, reaffirming full solidarity with the Kingdom and support for its sovereignty, territorial integrity and security.
They also discussed cooperation under the R-4 framework comprising Pakistan, Egypt, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia, and looked forward to the next R-4 meeting soon to further strengthen ties and coordinate on regional issues.
The Express Tribune noted that R-4 was launched earlier this year to intensify consultations on regional crises; Houthi strikes in October have included attacks on airports in Riyadh and Abha, with deaths and injuries reported.
