A 65-year-old man, Naibullah, was reportedly killed when a quadcopter dropped a bomb on the hujra, or guesthouse, of a residential compound in Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The attack took place in Sardi Khel, in Bakakhel tehsil.

According to sources, livestock belonging to the household were also killed and a solar power system in the compound was damaged. Local sources claim that quadcopter attacks in Sardi Khel over the past three days have left one person dead and four injured.

No group has claimed responsibility, and there has been no official confirmation or statement on the incident. The report has not been independently verified.

Bannu is among the 12 districts where the federal government declared an emergency on October 11, and reports of drone and quadcopter attacks in the province's southern districts have grown in recent weeks. Authorities have also just launched a jirga-led peace process in those districts.
