More than 20,000 people visited a three-day exhibition of domestic products in Paktia, according to provincial industry and commerce officials. The event was held at Paktia University's sports gymnasium, where 70 booths displayed local food and non-food products.
Officials said representatives of manufacturing companies held business meetings during the exhibition, while some domestic goods were offered at discounts of up to 20 percent. Organisers highlighted public attendance and product promotion as central features of the event.
Participating businesses said exhibitions of this kind can help companies reach customers and build links with other producers. Some exhibitors called for similar events to be held more frequently so that local brands can maintain visibility and develop wider commercial networks.
