Quetta — Margalla News: Pakistan's military media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said on Sunday, September 27, that more than 71 militants had been killed in Operation Shaban and other security operations across Balochistan over the previous 96 hours.

According to reports by Dawn and Geo News carrying the ISPR statement, the military said operations launched on September 21 in Ziarat and surrounding areas continued into actions targeting multiple hideouts in the Shaban area of Quetta district. ISPR said 33 people were killed in Operation Shaban, including 23 during intensified operations over the latest 72 hours.

The statement also said 11 people were killed in an intelligence-based operation in Nushki on September 25, while six more were killed in a separate operation in Mand. ISPR said weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered.

ISPR used the overall wording “more than 71”. Margalla News is not independently adding the various sub-counts to derive a different total because the statement does not fully clarify possible operational overlap or how the different time windows are aggregated.

The military described those killed using Pakistani state terminology linking them to the banned TTP and Baloch separatist groups, and also alleged Indian backing and involvement by the Afghan Taliban authorities. Those descriptions and allegations are being reported as ISPR's claims and have not been independently verified by Margalla News.

No independent battlefield verification of the reported casualty figures was available in the latest scan. ISPR said the clearance operation was continuing.
