Kabul — Afghanistan’s National Statistics and Information Authority says nearly 18.3 million citizens have received electronic national ID cards since the registration programme began.
According to Bakhtar News Agency, the authority said 827,060 cards were issued in the first six months of 1405, including 600,546 to men and 226,514 to women.
NSIA said it provides the service through 87 distribution and Easy Service centres across Afghanistan, as well as an Easy Service centre in Abu Dhabi.
