Pakistani security sources say three suspected militants were killed during an intelligence-based operation in Mir Ali, North Waziristan. The sources also claimed militant hideouts were destroyed and weapons and ammunition recovered.
In a separate operation in Surab district, Balochistan, security sources said one suspected militant was killed while another escaped. Weapons and a motorcycle were reportedly recovered.
In Tank district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security sources said an alleged attacker died when explosives he was carrying detonated prematurely while he was allegedly heading toward a government patwar office. Two nearby houses were also reported damaged.
