Islamabad — According to a federal government price notification issued on October 9, petrol was reduced by 66 paisas per litre while high-speed diesel increased by 52 paisas per litre.
Following the adjustment, petrol was set at Rs398.30 and high-speed diesel at Rs396.24 per litre. According to Dawn, the new prices apply from October 10 through October 12.
These are temporary official prices and may change under the next notification. Assessing their impact on inflation and transport costs also requires considering global oil prices and the level of taxes and duties.
