Nasdaq reported a network disruption at its Carteret, New Jersey, facility on October 15, causing intermittent data gaps across all US equities markets.
An alert went out at 11:27:50 a.m. ET. Both the A and B data feeds were affected, and clients were directed to backup feeds in Chicago.
Actual trading was not affected, and the issue was later resolved.
The episode showed how heavily global financial markets depend on reliable digital infrastructure.
