PESHAWAR/QUETTA: According to War Monitor, the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) issued a series of statements claiming attacks on security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan between October 13 and 17.

In North Waziristan, the group claimed an October 16 attack on the Dinwary military post in Khaisora Tangri, Mir Ali, but gave no confirmed casualty figures.

In Panjgur, Balochistan, the TTP claimed two attacks on October 16, alleging partial damage to radar equipment at Panjgur Airport and casualties at a military post in the Pir Umar area.

In a statement on Orakzai and Hangu, the group claimed it had seized an Elite Police Force member, who it said was killed during a security operation launched to recover him. On Tank, it claimed two brothers from Gomal had resigned from the Frontier Corps, which has not been officially confirmed.

In South Waziristan, the TTP claimed two soldiers were killed and three injured in an October 16 attack on a post in Sherkani, Toi Khula, and one soldier was killed in Maidanki on October 13.

There has been no official response to the claims. War Monitor says none of the reported casualties, damage, detention or resignations has been independently confirmed. Read the original War Monitor report and War Monitor's post on X.
