KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA: According to War Monitor, the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) issued several statements on Friday claiming attacks on security forces in Tank, Bannu and South Waziristan, along with revised casualty figures for earlier clashes.

Regarding an October 13 attack on a military installation in Umar Khan Kalay, Tank, the group now claims four soldiers were killed and seven seriously injured, among them an army captain. The TTP also claimed a quadcopter (drone) attack on Tank City Police Station on October 16, but did not confirm any casualties.

In Bannu, the group says it targeted military positions in Ali Khel and Sardi Khel in the Baka Khel area on October 16, damaging surveillance equipment and a solar power installation and wounding one soldier in Sardi Khel.

In South Waziristan, the TTP claimed attacks on security posts in Khaisora, Tiarza and Enzare in Sararogha. It alleged one security official was killed and two were injured at Enzare, while giving no figures for Khaisora. The group also referred again to its previously reported attack on Jankor police station in the former FR Peshawar.

There has been no official response to the claims. War Monitor notes that the reported casualties, identities and damage have not been independently confirmed. The original report is on War Monitor and War Monitor's X post.
