PASNI, BALOCHISTAN: According to War Monitor, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for an October 18 attack on a Pakistani military convoy near Shadi Kaur in the Kubri area of Pasni, Gwadar district, alleging that seven military personnel, including Major Wajahat, were killed.

In a statement by spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, the group said its Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS) targeted a vehicle in a three-vehicle military convoy with a remotely detonated explosive device. The BLA claimed the targeted vehicle was destroyed and all seven personnel aboard were killed.

The statement followed earlier Insurgent Zone reports that Major Wajahat had been killed in Pasni, although those initial reports did not establish a confirmed casualty figure.

War Monitor stressed that the reported fatalities, the officer's identity and the extent of the damage have not been independently confirmed.
