About 80 per cent of the slots under Pakistan's Private Hajj Scheme have been booked and around 15,000 remain available, the Ministry of Religious Affairs said on Tuesday, after booking for the Government Hajj Scheme closed.
A ministry spokesperson said pilgrims in the private scheme have so far deposited Rs57.5 billion, of which Rs30 billion came through 1LINK PSID and bank cards and Rs27.5 billion through manual bank challans. All private packages listed on the Pak Hajj App and the digital portal already include the Rs55,000 cost of qurbani, the spokesperson said.
The ministry has told intending pilgrims to complete bookings and payments for the remaining slots before November 20, only through the Pak Hajj App or the official Hajj portal. Any additional facilities must also be selected and paid for through the portal.
Pilgrims have been warned not to pay any individual or company directly, as the ministry will not be responsible for such transactions.
