Pakistani security sources said on Wednesday that the country's armed forces shot down eight drones after they entered Pakistani airspace from the Afghan side.
According to the Pakistani account, four drones were intercepted in areas adjoining the Torkham border and four others in mountainous border areas near Kohat. Radio Pakistan and Dawn both reported the claim citing security sources.
The Pakistani sources attributed the drones to the Afghan Taliban administration and said they were intercepted by air-defence systems. Margalla News has not independently verified that attribution.
