Peshawar — Margalla News: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said that people would take to the streets if what he described as an attempt or "adventure" were made to remove him from office.
Speaking to senior journalists in Peshawar, Afridi also offered talks to the federal government, asking why negotiations should wait until after the planned long march.
Geo News reported that Afridi said the federal government could resolve the issue through mutual understanding within seven days. He added that the October 4 long march decision remained in place and that the delay had been part of the party's political strategy.
Bol News, reporting the same interaction, quoted Afridi as saying that if any such "adventure" were attempted, people would come out within 24 hours of a call, and that if he were removed, they would take to the streets.
Afridi also said that if he were disqualified, PTI founder Imran Khan would decide who should replace him.
