Peshawar — Margalla News: Staff were evacuated from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Civil Secretariat and other government offices in Peshawar after a security alert, while security was tightened around the area.
The Express Tribune reported that the alert referred to the possibility of a drone or suicide attack, particularly targeting government installations or places where large numbers of people were gathering for Friday prayers.
As a precaution, staff were also evacuated from the FATA Secretariat and some nearby offices on Warsak Road, while law-enforcement agencies deployed additional personnel.
Dawn later reported that officials described the security alert as "fake."
No attack or casualty was reported in connection with the alert.
