Peshawar — Margalla News: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said that people would take to the streets if an attempt were made to remove or disqualify him from office.
Speaking to senior journalists in Peshawar, Afridi said that if any such "adventure" took place, party workers and supporters were prepared to respond within 24 hours.
He also said the decision to march toward Islamabad on October 4 remained unchanged, while adding that the federal government still had time to resolve the dispute through talks and mutual understanding.
Afridi further said that if he were disqualified, PTI founder Imran Khan would decide who should replace him.
These remarks are being reported as the chief minister's political position and expectation; the scale of any public response to a hypothetical removal or disqualification cannot be independently predicted.
