Peshawar — Margalla News: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the killing of Inspector Gul Mat Khan in Peshawar.
In its statement, the group described Gul Mat Khan as a serving CID officer, a former member of the military and one of its wanted targets.
The TTP also accused him of mistreating Taliban prisoners. That allegation is part of the group's statement and has not been independently verified.
Margalla News did not immediately locate independent, reliable public reporting that separately confirms Gul Mat Khan's current employment status, former military background, the full circumstances of the killing or all details of the TTP claim.
The responsibility claim and disputed background allegations are therefore being presented strictly as claims made by the TTP.
