Hangu — Margalla News: Six Pakistani soldiers were killed after a security forces convoy was hit by a roadside explosive device in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Pakistani officials said the incident occurred in Hangu district on Thursday when the convoy was targeted with an improvised explosive device.
The Pakistani military also said it killed 10 militants in separate intelligence-based operations in Hangu and North Waziristan.
Officials described the slain militants as linked to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The TTP is a separate organisation from the Afghan Taliban.
Islamabad accuses anti-Pakistan militants of operating from Afghan territory, while the Afghan government has repeatedly rejected those allegations.
