Rawalpindi — Pakistan International Airlines has signed an ACMI-style lease agreement with Norse Atlantic Airways for two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Such an agreement covers the aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance.
According to a PIA spokesperson, delivery is expected next month, in November 2026, and the aircraft are intended for long-haul direct flights between the UK and Pakistan. Management describes the agreement as part of efforts to expand the fleet and improve passenger services.
This is a lease agreement, not a purchase. Actual delivery, route approvals and final flight schedules will require confirmation through subsequent announcements.
