BALOCHISTAN: According to War Monitor, the Baloch Liberation Army (Azad) has claimed responsibility for a roughly 10-hour armed operation in Dasht-e Goran on October 15, alleging that eight members of a local armed group were killed.
The group's statement said the operation targeted a compound it linked to the armed group's leader and his son. BLA-Azad accused the group of collaborating with Pakistani intelligence agencies and of abductions, extortion and land grabs.
The statement also claimed that security forces intervened during the clash, and that BLA-Azad fighters seized weapons, two motorcycles and a vehicle and brought down a military drone.
War Monitor said the reported deaths, military losses, alleged intelligence links and the accusations against the group's leader and associates have not been independently substantiated. No official comment has been reported.
