The banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) said in statements issued on Tuesday that it had targeted security force posts in three Khyber Pakhtunkhwa districts, North Waziristan, South Waziristan and Bannu, according to War Monitor. The statements were released under what the group calls its "Khyber Operations" campaign.

None of the casualties hinted at in the claims has been independently confirmed, and there has been no official response.

Six claimed attacks in North Waziristan

The TTP said it carried out six attacks in the Mir Ali and Boya areas of North Waziristan, including Hassu Khel, Khadri, Hadi, Koli Khel, Kajhuri and Muhammad Khel. The group alleged possible casualties among security personnel but gave no verified figures.

South Waziristan and Bannu

In South Waziristan, the group claimed an attack on a post in the Janta area of Shaktoi, saying one security man was killed and communications equipment was damaged. It also claimed an attack on a newly built post at Narmi Khel in Bannu's Baka Khel area.

The same day, the TTP claimed its armed members patrolled and carried out checks in the main bazaar of Makeen in South Waziristan.

Later, the group released a video it said showed an attack on security forces in the Badr area of South Waziristan. Its statement said a 75-R weapon was used but gave no details of casualties or damage.

Jandola: 'killed' militant alive on video?

In a separate development, War Monitor said a video circulating online challenges claims by several pro-state social media accounts that TTP member Hidayatullah, alias Badri, was killed in a security operation in Jandola. The man in the video identifies himself as Hidayatullah and says he is alive. When the video was recorded, and who the man really is, have not been verified.

Province-level online channels

According to War Monitor, the TTP appears to be widening its online reach through social media channels named after its self-declared administrative divisions, which it calls "Wilayats". A promotional message from a channel calling itself "Fikr-e-Ummat, Wilayat South Punjab" urged young people to follow its accounts on Telegram, WhatsApp and X. How closely these accounts are linked to the TTP's central leadership is unclear.
