According to War Monitor, four suspected militants were killed on Wednesday in two separate incidents in the North Waziristan and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The details of each came from different sources, and neither has been officially confirmed.
Mir Ali: drone strike on a house
Citing the platform Insurgent Zone, War Monitor said a drone struck a house in the Mosaki area of Mir Ali, North Waziristan, reportedly killing three members of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
One of the dead was identified as Roman, also known as Saifullah Dawar. The other two have not been named, and the report did not say who operated the drone.
Bannu: intelligence-based operation in Ghora Bakakhel
In the second incident, state-affiliated social media accounts claimed that security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Ghora Bakakhel area of Bannu, killing a suspected militant identified as Noor Jamal, War Monitor reported.
Verification pending
The casualties, identities and circumstances of both operations have not been independently confirmed, and no further details were immediately available. North Waziristan and Bannu have been among the areas of the province worst hit by militancy in recent months.
