According to War Monitor, two engineers working on road construction projects in Balochistan have been missing since Monday, October 19, 2026, leaving their families and colleagues waiting for news.
Last seen at a bus terminal
Initial reports say Syed Saqlain Shah Bukhari and Zia Ur Rehman were last seen at around 10am on Monday at the Naag Bazar bus terminal in Kech district, from where they planned to travel to Quetta. There has been no trace of them since.
The report says both engineers had been deployed at the Army Kohan camp in the Gichak area.
Families appeal for information
Their families and colleagues have appealed to anyone with information to come forward. War Monitor says the circumstances of the disappearance are unclear, no group has claimed responsibility and independent verification is pending. There has been no statement yet from the district administration or police.
Staff working on development projects in Kech and other districts of Makran division have faced security threats in the past.
