Two suspected militants were reportedly killed on Friday during a police operation in Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The raid took place in the Charpara area of Bahadur Khel, within the limits of Khurram Muhammadzai police station.
According to sources, initial reports say police raided the house of a local resident where suspected militants were believed to be hiding. Security personnel are reportedly continuing the operation in the area, while other suspects are said to have fled towards nearby mountains.
The identities of those killed and the circumstances of the raid have not been independently confirmed, and police have yet to issue a formal statement. Karak has seen a string of militant incidents in recent days, including a clash in which a CTD deputy superintendent and a station house officer were killed.
